Harmon Rebounds With Double Up
Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Wayne Harmon had just lost a tough hand to Scot Fahrenbruch when his jacks were cracked by pocket nines after Fahrenbruch flopped a set.
Harmon then took his final stand and shoved a few hands later for 41,000 from early position and was called by an opponent in the cutoff to be at risk.
Wayne Harmon: A♠6♣
Opponent: A♥K♦
Harmon was ready to leave as he got up after the cards were tabled before the runout, but the flop gave him reason to sit back down as it came 6♠9♠8♦ to improve him to a pair of sixes and overtake his opponent in the standings.
The 7♣ turn offered an opportunity for a chop, but the A♦ river secured the double for Harmon.
