More Live Poker Action Awaits With Two Flights of 2026 RGPS Passport Japan in Tokyo
After a very successful opening flight of the 2026 RGPS Passport Japan, hundreds of poker enthusiasts from near and far are expected to join the action for the second instalment between the RunGood Poker Series and the Japan Open Poker Tour (JOPT) at Belle Salle Takadanobaba only two stops away from Shinjuku in the centre of Tokyo. The tournament is officially listed as NLH Colossus Sponsored by RunGood Passport and comes with a ¥15,000 (~$95) buy-in, which brought with it a total of 548 entries for the first of six starting days.
Another two flights await today, both of which feature the same structure of 13 levels with a duration of 30 minutes each. All players receive 30,000 in chips, which is good enough for 150 big blinds in the opening level at 100-200 with a big blind ante of 200. The late registration is open for the first nine levels in both heats with Day 1b set to kick off at 11 a.m. local time, whereas Day 1c follows as of 4 p.m. local time.
The initial two chip leaders were separated by only a fraction of a big blind last night with KNT (807,000) and nakaji04 (805,000) leading by some margin, while "tact" who also nearly increased their starting stack twenty-fold to 585,000.

Most of the participants so far have been hailing from Japan with some notable exceptions from China and South Korea, as well as foreigners who currently live in Tokyo. Expect the same pattern to unfold over the next few days with all players using their Game ID to register with the respective alias used in the live updates.
Today's PokerNews live updates will focus on the early flight and the full chip counts of the evening heat will be published later in the night or early morning once the JOPT has published them on their website.
