mrtroy had previously won another larger pot and then tangled with chip leader Daniel Shearer when he gave up on an ace-high river with two diamonds, as his K9 had missed. Shearer won the pot with the AJ to pull further ahead.

A short stack then jammed from the hijack for 3,400 and Fukasawa on the button called. mrtroy in the big blind went all-in over the top and the button eventually committed his last 16,000 for 32 big blinds.
