James Cloutier Leads Day 1c of RGPS Passport Pennsylvania Main Event
The largest opening flight of the week has wrapped up at RunGood Poker Series Passport Pennsylvania, with 41 more entries joining the $800 Main Event field. That brought the overall total to 105 entries at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, cruising past the $60,000 guarantee with more action underway.
Day 1c produced five more players earning a spot in the money, as the prize pool grew to $73,500 with registration winding down in the final flight. Final numbers will be available before the start of Day 2 on Sunday, April 26.
Leading the way is James Cloutier, who gave a bit of his big stack back in the final levels before settling at 386,000. That was good for an advantage over Adam Williams, who took down the final hand of the night to bag 333,000 chips.

Action of the Day
Defending RGPS Pennsylvania champion Chadd Beatty took another pair of shots in the third flight, but was unable to build any momentum and had to settle for a final shot in Day 1d.
The field also included many RunGood Ambassadors, with Keith Becker returning to action only to bow out at the end of late registration. Becker ran his pocket queens into aces on the final hand of Level 8, part of a wild sequence as the clock expired on the last level of registration.
Other ambassadors in the mix were Greg Raymer, Daniel Hughes, and Tim Faro. Pocket aces were not enough to save Faro, as he fell on Level 12 when Thomas found a full house.
The night came to an end when Jebadiah Steward shoved in pocket queens, with Williams surviving a sweat to secure the final elimination on the stone bubble.
Just 12 players have earned a bag for the final day, soon to be joined by the survivors of the last flight in progress. Everyone will return in the money at 12:00 p.m. local time, ready to battle down to a winner as the last RGPS ring of the series will be awarded.
Levels for Day 2 will continue at 40 minutes in duration, with breaks after every two hours of play. The starting blinds will be determined by the lowest level on the clock from the opening flights.
Full prize pool and payout information will be posted at the start of the final day, while seat draw information can be found in the RGPS Rewards app at the conclusion of Day 1d.
The PokerNews live reporting team will continue to provide full coverage of the final day, so don't miss a moment of the action as it unfolds here at Hollywood Penn National.
