After four opening flights, the time has come for the final 28 players to return for Day 2 of the RunGood Poker Series Passport Reno $800 Main Event. The event attracted a total of 237 entries at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa as players vied for a chance to win the main event title and a piece of the $150,000 guarantee.
Day 1d was the final flight to set the stage for the finale. A total of 57 entries took their shot during the final opening flight, resulting in seven players being entitled to bag for Day 2.
Tim Holcomb (400,000) finished as Day 1d chip leader. He was followed by Lucas Hill (322,000) and Chris Audrain (305,000). Holcomb will come into Day 2 with the third most chips in play.
Leading all players heading into the final day is Day 1a chip leader Hamid Izadi (716,000).
Izadi had not originally planned to enter this event, but was talked into it by a friend and RGPS Ambassador Christina Lofquist. This turned out to be a fortunate decision thus far, as Izadi had a successful finish to Day 1a to top the charts as the remaining players embark on Day 2.
Manuel DeAlmeida
Manuel DeAlmeida (430,000) will enter with the second most chips in play. DeAlmeida hovered as an average stack for most of Day 1c, but gained traction late with a pivotal hand occurring when his kings held to put him on his path to becoming Day 1c chip leader.
Greg Raymer
Former WSOP Main Event Champion and RGPS Ambassador Greg Raymer (156,000) is still in contention. Raymer entered Day 1a but was unsuccessful at qualifying for Day 2. His entry into Day 1c proved to be more successful than his previous attempt, as he was able to advance to Day 2.
RGPS Ambassador Daniel “Donk” Hughes (270,000) is still in the running, as well as WSOP bracelet winner Daniel Turner (70,000).
