Lafata Off to a Good Start
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Mark Lafata in the hijack, the player in the cutoff, and the player in the small blind.
With about 4,500 in the pot and the board reading A♦8♣Q♣10♠, the small blind led out for 2,500, Lafata raised to 8,000, and the cutoff called. The small blind thought for a moment before calling as well.
On the K♣ river, it checked to Lafata who placed a big bet of 35,000. The cutoff went into the tank before giving up his hand and the small blind took some time to think through his decision before folding Q♦10♦ face-up.
Lafata showed K♦J♦ for Broadway as he dragged in the pot.
