Gabriel Attoun
Gabriel Attoun

The penultimate starting flight is in the books in the $800 Main Event here at the RunGood Poker Series Passport Season hosted by Hollywood Casino St. Louis. Day 1c had a huge turnout, with 214 total entries being recorded. Only 26 players will return for Day 2 on Sunday, all of whom have locked up a min-cash.

Gabriel Attoun bagged the overwhelming chip lead with 1,470,000, good for first in the overall counts through the first three starting flights. Attoun climbed steadily throughout the day and really stepped up the aggression during the last few levels to continue to chip up. Attoun is fresh off a win in the $300 One Day NLH Ring Event just a couple days ago where he earned $8,164 and his first RGPS ring.

Sitting in second, not far behind Attoun is Mark Koeln, who ended the day with 1,127,000. Rounding out the podium is Jonathon Mason with 541,000.
