Lee Shows Better Kicker Versus Mariano
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Rob Mariano opened to 800 on the button before Neng Lee defended his big blind to go to a flop heads up.
The 9♣2♠4♦ flop led to a check from Lee. Mariano continued for 1,200, and Lee made the call.
Lee checked the 6♥ turn before Mariano fired a second barrel for 2,100. Lee stuck around with another call.
Both players checked the 2♥ river to go to a showdown.
Mariano showed 10♦9♦ for a pair of nines, but it was no good as Lee tabled K♠9♥ for a pair of nines with a better kicker to take down the pot.
