Phu Doubles Against Troendly
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Steven Gnatovich was the first to act and made it 1,600. Norman Yeung called from early position before Richard Troendly joined from the hijack. Tay Phu three-bet to 3,200 from the small blind. Gnatovich, Yeung, and Troendly made the call to keep the pot four-handed.
The flop came down 7♠5♥10♥ before Phu went all-in for 5,400. Gnatovich and Yeung both folded, but Troendly made the call to put Phu at risk.
Tay Phu: 9♥7♥
Richard Troendly: K♦Q♣
Phu was well ahead with his pair and flush draw, while Troendly was looking for a non-heart king or queen to score the elimination.
The 2♣ turn was a blank in favor of Phu, and the 8♣ was of no consequence as Phu secured the double.
