Nguyen Wins Nguyen Loses
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
This hand was picked up on a board that read 9♠J♠7♦ with approximately 8,000 in the pot.
Henri Perez Lopez checked his option from the hijack before Francis Nguyen bet 3,700 from the cutoff. Chuc Nguyen made it 8,500 before Lopez folded. Nguyen responded with an all-in for 43,300 and was called by Nguyen to be at risk.
Francis Nguyen: 7♣7♥
Chuc Nguyen: K♥10♣
Nguyen had outflopped Nguyen with a set of sevens as he was in a dominant position to double up.
The J♥ turn sealed it in favor of Nguyen as the pointless 2♣ hit the river to award Nguyen the pot.
