Gnatovich Holds Against Small
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Steven Gnatovich opened to 7,000 from the cutoff to begin the action.
Robert Small made the call on the button and sent them to a flop of Q♣Q♥5♥. Gnatovich bet before Small opted to jam. Gnatovich made the call and was at risk for 66,000.
Steven Gnatovich: 9♦9♥
Robert Small: A♠5♦
Both players had a pair, but Gnatovich was better with his pair of nines as he needed to fade a five or an ace with two cards to go.
The J♥ turn was safe for Gnatovich as his lead increased going into the river.
Gnatovich would improve to a full house when the 9♣ hit the river to secure him the double up.
