A New Champion Will Rise on Final Day of RGPS Passport Season Finale Main Event
Today is the championship day at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort as the final 108 players will take their seats on Day 2 of the RunGood Poker Series Passport Season Finale $1,200 Million Dollar Main Event to pursue an RGPS title and the first-place prize of $163,700. A total of 1,086 entries created a prize pool of $1,140,300 in this year’s main event to set the stage for the final day of play.
Randy Gil (1,061,000) will enter as the chip leader at the onset of Day 2. Day 1b chip leader Douglas Dossett (1,054,000) finished just a tad behind Gil to take the honors of second in the overall chip standings. Day 1c chip leader Michael Cervantes (1,012,000) followed with the third most chips, while Jay Kasler (1,008,000) is the fourth member of the millionaire’s club as they take their seats on the final day.

Gil is in search of the second RGPS ring of his career. The former St. Mary’s college basketball player has taken his competitive background into poker, amassing over one million in career live earnings, according to The Hendon Mob.
Dossett has had a great week at Thunder Valley Casino Resort as he already took down the $300 Knockout with $100 Bounties event to score his first RGPS title. Dossett will look to double dip in the same series with a win in the main event. Cervantes peaked late on Day 1c to earn his million-chip stack. He has yet to capture an RGPS title, but came close in 2024 when he took second in the Buffaloooo PKO Event for $14,435.
Kasler has already made a final table at the RGPS Passport Season Finale when he finished fifth in the 30/30/30 event. Kasler would over triple his career earnings with a first-place finish, as his total career earnings come in just over $60,000, according to The Hendon Mob.
Main Event Payouts
Day 2 is scheduled to play eight-handed. A shot clock will also be implemented on Day 2 with players receiving five time banks to start the day. Players will receive an additional five time banks at the beginning of the final table.
