Bibat Eliminates Saich Early on Day 2
Level 17
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Anton Saich shoved for his final 95,000 from the hijack before Ricardo Bibat made the call out of the big blind to put Saich at risk.
Anton Saich: A♦J♦
Ricardo Bibat: A♣K♦
Saich found out the bad news that his hand was dominated by the better ace of Bibat, but the flop turned the tables when it came 6♥10♥J♣ to give Saich a pair of jacks and the lead with two cards to go. Bibat wasn't left completely out in the cold as he gained a gutshot straight draw as well as his outs to a king.
The 7♦ turn was of no consequence.
Just as it appeared Saich was going to secure the double-up, the river was a rude awakening as it came the K♣ to give Bibat a pair of kings and eliminate Saich in the process.
