Kao Saevang and Rutherford Hayes clashed in back-to-back all-in showdowns that saw one player take a beat, then get some back immediately.
The first hand took place when Adam Duong opened to 30,000 from under the gun. Kao Saevang shoved for 210,000 from the cutoff, and Rutherford Hayes re-shoved for 175,000 on the button. Duong folded as Saevang and Hayes went to a showdown with Hayes at risk.

Hayes was knocking on the door of an elimination as he ran into the aces of Saevang. The flop changed nothing when it came K♠5♦4♥ to keep Saevang in the lead.
Hayes would find his miracle when the Q♣ turn hit to give him a set of queens and leave Saevang searching for one of the two aces in the deck.
Hayes secured the double on the 5♣ river to leave Saevang short-stacked.
The very next hand Zach Walters opened to 45,000 from early position before Saevang shoved for his remaining 45,000 from the hijack. Hayes and Walters made the call.
The flop came J♠4♥4♣ before both players checked to bring the Q♦ turn. Walters checked before Hayes bet 50,000. Walters folded as Hayes and Saevang were once again in an all-in showdown.

Saevang found out that his best hand on the flop was sunk once again on the turn by Hayes.
Saevang's demeanor would change when the J♥ peeled on the river to give Saevang trip jacks and keep his tournament hopes alive.
