Cartwright Claims the Lead

The 4♥ turn produced another lead from Cartwright, this time for 750,000. Latta looked down at his cards before sliding them to the dealer, and Cartwright collected the pot to take over the chip lead.

Both players declined to bet the 9♥5♣4♠ flop, and Latta led out for 225,000 on the 6♦ turn. Cartwright called, and the 10♥ river produced checks from the two players.

"I've got a pair," said Cartwright without showing. Latta turned over 7♥6♣ for a pair of sixes, taking down the pot as Cartwright mucked.

Michael Monaghan called in the small blind, and William Latta checked his big blind option. Monaghan led out for 200,000 on the 9♦3♣A♠ flop, with Latta making the call.

Both players checked through the 4♠ turn, and the dealer completed the board with the 5♦ river.

Monaghan took a moment before announcing a bet of 625,000, representing most of his remaining stack. Latta replied by raising enough to put his opponent all in.

After taking some more time, Monaghan opted to make the call. Latta tabled 5♠2♠ for a straight, while Monaghan flashed 5x4x for two pair.

That sent Monaghan out in third place, leaving Latta and Kyle Cartwright to battle for the RGPS ring.

William Latta raised to 325,000 in the small blind, and Kyle Cartwright defended his big blind to see the 3♣7♥Q♥ flop.

Both players checked to the A♥ turn where Latta led out for 325,000. Cartwright quickly folded, and Latta raked in another pot.

On the next hand, Cartwright limped in the small blind and Michael Monaghan checked to the K♣6♥5♠ flop. Cartwright and Monaghan both checked, and the dealer flipped over the 2♠ turn.

Cartwright checked again, calling after Monaghan bet 175,000. The J♥ river produced a pair of checks, and Cartwright revealed A♠4♠.

Monaghan showed A♦2♦, winning the pot with two pair.
