Singh Gets a Double KO

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Raminder Singh
Raminder Singh

Our friends at the Seminole Coconut Creek Poker blog caught a big hand before the two-table redraw. Jeffrey Morrison opened to 35,000 from the cutoff and Raminder Singh called on the button. Walter Bravo three-bet shoved from the big blind for 187,000 and Morrison four-bet shoved for 200,000 total.

“Two for the price of one?” Singh said before he called with the bigger of the three stacks.

Raminder Singh: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Jeffrey Morrison: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Walter Bravo: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Singh was ahead with the fives and took a commanding lead on the {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop with a set of fives. The {a-Diamonds} turn left Bravo drawing dead and Morrison looking for one of the last three kings to make a straight. The river was the {8-Spades} to send Morrison out in 20th and Bravo in 21st.

Alain Candales Falcon jammed for 150,000 from the cutoff, and David Albertson called in the small blind.

Alain Candales Falcon: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
David Albertson: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Falcon fell further behind on the {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop, but caught up on the {a-Clubs} turn, with a club draw for a win or a ten for a chop. Neither appeared on the {a-Spades} river, and Falcon was eliminated.

Anwar Shawn Mohamed Eliminated in 17th Place ($2,976)

Level 21 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Joseph Nolin limped in from middle position, then called when Anwar Shawn Mohamed jammed for 195,000 in the small blind.

Anwar Shawn Mohamed: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Joseph Nolin: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop was safe for Mohamed, but Nolin drilled the {3-Clubs} turn to take command with a full houses.

"Awww, come on!" Mohamed said, but he wouldn't recover on the {2-Hearts} river to bust.
