McConnon Chips Up; Gordon Busts

Level 4 : 1,800/3,600, 450 ante

"makeboifin" opened to 9,000 on the button and was called by Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood and Jason "JASON.MAC100" McConnon in the blinds. On the {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop Greenwood check-folded to a bet of 9,950 by McConnon and "makeboifin" called.

The {4-Diamonds} turn and {q-Clubs} river was bet by McConnon and "makeboifin" called the first time, then folded to the final bet after using a portion of his timebank.

Shortly after, on another table, Vicent "gordon0410" Bosca three-bet jammed the button with {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and was called by Andras "probirs" Nemeth in the cutoff with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}, The board came {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and that sent the UK-based Spaniard to the rail for now.

Urlings Takes From Delgado

Level 3 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

At the end of the previous level, Jordi "prot0" Urlings raised the button and called a three-bet by Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado" in the big blind to see a flop of {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Delgado continued for 30,080 and picked up a call. Both checked the {a-Spades} on the turn and Delgado check-called a bet of 101,520, which represented nearly half of the remaining stack of Urlings.

Urlings tabled {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for top pair and that won the pot.

First Break of the Day

Level 3 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

There are 35 players out of 40 entries remaining and the latest casualty was Christoph "26071985" Vogelsang. He had essentially doubled "NeedBeat" in a classic flip when he came up short with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} versus {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} on a board of {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

A Double Up and a Bustout

Level 3 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

"NeedBeat" scored another double when he got it in with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Vicent "gordon0410" Gordon as the board came {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi then took a hit when he raised from under the gun and fired three barrels on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board. "aabas" had defended the big blind and check-called all the way with {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a gutshot that instead made trips sevens. Shakerchi had {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for jacks and sevens.

Last but not least, Joao "Naza114" Vieira defended the big blind and check-called two smaller bets by Chun Lei "samrostan" Zhou on the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop and {3-Clubs} turn. After the {k-Clubs} river, Vieira checked again and Zhou overbet-jammed to eventually pick up a call by Vieira, who held {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for top pair. Zhou had that beat with the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and boosted his stack further.

Vogelsang Takes a Hit Early On

Level 2 : 1,400/2,800, 350 ante

Another player to bust early on was Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams and he re-entered almost immediately, as did fellow Canadian Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood.

Shortly after sitting down, Christoph "26071985" Vogelsang was in the big blind and called the button shove of a short-stacked "NeedBeat" for 45,098 with the {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}. His opponent flipped with {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} and seemed all but gone on the first bullet when the {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop and {9-Spades} turn gave Vogelsang superior two pair and the better flush draw. But the {2-Diamonds} river kept "NeedBeat" in contention.

Greenwood Doubles "Black88"; Busts to Pardo

Level 2 : 1,400/2,800, 350 ante
Black88 doubles
Black88 doubles

Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood had been very active early on and boosted his stack up slightly. He then raised to 6,720 in the hijack and was called by "Black88" in the cutoff, which led to the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. Greenwood continued for 12,600 and called a raise to 33,860 in order to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Greenwood now bet again, making it 21,865 to go, which was called by "Black88". The {k-Hearts} on the river brought the shove of Greenwood with the covering stack and he was called by "Black88" with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a ten-high straight. Greenwood only had {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks and was reduced to a short stack.

The Canadian was all-in three hands later with {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo dealt the final blow with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} on a {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} runout.
