The PokerStars 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker -92-L: $109 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event], $3M GTD drew a massive field of 38,913 entries creating a prize pool of $3,891,300. There were 11,488 players that took to their virtual seats for Day 2 but after eight hours of play, the night left off with only 159 survivors.
Claiming the Day 2 chip lead is "dammsugarn" from Sweden with 16,269,467. "dammsugarn" was near the top during most of the day but catapulted into the top spot at the end of the night when they rivered a flush to eliminate "salmoncatch".
Rounding out the top five stacks include "CaptainRobur" (15,977,015), "macker888" (15,263,687), "Mantylo8" (15,159,33) and "dimon36krut" (15,013,918).
Some notables still in contention are Kevin "KRab42" Rabichow (14,838,364), Anton "Bomber&Granater" Wigg (13,974,973), Ariel "ArielBahia" Celestino (12,897,796), and Luis "luis_faria" Faria (9,438,656).
Pokerstars ambassadors Ben "Spraggy" Spragg, Felix "xflixx" Schneiders, Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban, Lasse "Wistern" Jagd Lauritsen and Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot made it to the money, but they all failed to make it another day.
Players who returned for Day 2 with healthy stacks but also saw the end of their run today include Day 1 Chip Leader "DAEHBONK", "pirarocu", "NHalabardzie", and "TimohaGrom".
All remaining players are guaranteed to collect $2,048 but they will all aim for a spot at the final table. Action resumes tomorrow, on Tuesday, April 26 at 1:05 p.m. EST and play will continue at Level 44 (80,000/160,000/20,000).
