Day 1c Started

Welcome to Flight C of the $50,000 Guaranteed Event!

The 2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic continues this morning with the third starting flight of Event #2, a $125 buy-in no-limit hold'em event which carries a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. This unique tournament features six total flights across three days and will crown a champion on Wednesday.

Yesterday, a total of 171 players competed in the first two flights of Event #2. Mandy Smith led the way in Flight 1 after bagging 148,000 in chips, and Marc Pusmucans became the overall leader after accumulating 188,000 in the evening portion. Thirty-eight players advanced to Wednesday's Day 2, but each of them have the option of playing again today or tomorrow to build a bigger stack to take into the final day.

Flight C will begin today at 11 a.m. ET and Flight D will follow at 6 p.m. ET. The plan is to play 12 30-minute levels or until only 12% of the field in each flight remains. Each player begins with 15,000 in chips and registration and re-entries will be open until the start of Level 9.

Leonardi Aiming Higher

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Carol Leonardi was one of the 38 players who advanced yesterday, bagging the third biggest stack from the first flight (96,200). However, Leonardi is back this morning to give it another go. If Leonardi were to bag more than 96,200 in this flight she would forced to forfeit the chips she accumulated on Sunday.

We'll catch up with Leonardi later to find out her strategy today.
