Andy Spears is now on his third bullet of the Main Event and has been seated back at Table 7 — his original table. He's taken the seat that was recently vacated by Nick Walker. Jason Nablo, Aaron Olshan and Ray Book are also at the table.
Tournament Director Jay Brooks just informed us that 54 Main Event players have earned their seat to the big one by winning a satellite. That number will increase tonight as the poker room is hosting the last four qualifiers at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Andy Spears won the 2013 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam and is back today to defend his title. He showed up four hours late because he was "playing cash games until 4 a.m." Regardless, he still has 50 big blinds to work with.
DJ MacKinnon, Mark Roberts and John Stempien were among the latest to put up the $600 for this event, bringing the number of entries to 100. Registration is still open for about five hours.
