King Mueller

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Keith Mueller
Keith Mueller

After one shorty moved in and another player raised, Seneca Niagara tourney reg Keith Mueller looked down at two kings and let it fly.

The raiser called with {j-Spades}{9-Spades}, the shorty had {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Mueller's {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} looked good to do some serious damage.

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} giving shorty the triple, but Mueller collected enough on the side to effectively double his starting stack and join the leaders here in Level 3.

After one opponent flopped a set, and another turned a straight, Rochester, NY's Brian McCormick took top pair and went runner-runner to make queens full of kings.

Heaps got in on the river and McCormick scooped it all up, taking the early lead here in the flight's second level.

The Second Flight for Summer Slam's $50,000 Guaranteed Event #2 $200 No-Limit Hold'em Starts Now!

The 2016 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam continues this evening with the second of four starting flights in the $50,000 Guaranteed Event #2 $200 No-Limit Hold'em beginning at 6 p.m. local time in Niagara Falls.

The event allows for registration and unlimited reentry up until the start of Level 9. Plus, players can do the same for any and all subsequent flights even if they bag up, carrying their best stack forward to Day 2 Sunday where the field will play down to a winner.

Players will begin with 15,000-chip stacks and the levels will be 30 minutes in length. Each starting flight will play the first 14 levels or until 12 percent of the field remains.

The Niagara Falls Poker Room has a long history of smashing the guarantee in these multi-starting-flight unlimited-reentry events and this one should be no different as the best players from the Western New York area and beyond are expected to turn up in droves over the next two days.

The first of four starting flights drew 106 entries today with 18 players surviving and Adam Foster (188,400) setting the pace by grabbing the chip lead.

There are two more flights set for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as the 2016 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam continues.
