The (Unofficial) Final Table Is Set

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Shah
Jonathan Shah

Thomas Mader ran second pair into Joseph Reichenbacher nut straight to exit 12th.

Seconds later, Dan Wagner shoved blind from the small blind into short stack Jonathan Shah in the big. Shah called off with queen-high, but Wagner somehow had pocket aces to send him home 11th.

With that, they have combined to one table of ten and the official final table of nine will be set with one more elimination.

Boutelle Bounced By Block

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Kurt Boutelle
Kurt Boutelle

Kurtis Boutelle made it 3,500 and Rick Block called. Boutelle open-jammed around 130,000 on the {10-}{3-}{5-} flop with the {q-}{10-}.

Block called with the {9-}{9-} and found a nine on the river to send the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event champ home 14th.

Jeff On Jeff Crime

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jeff Kandefer
Jeff Kandefer

Jeff Kandefer ran pocket tens and the last of his chips into Jeff Wells and pocket kings.

A board of bricks sent the start-of-day chip leader home 16th.

In the meantime, short stack ninja and World Series of poker bracelet winner Greg Ostrander finally relented after nursing a less-than-ten-big-blind stack for the past two hours.

Wagner Gets There

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Dan Wagner
Dan Wagner

Dan Wagner opened to 26,000 and both blinds called, including Joseph Elia in the small.

The {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop checked to Wagner and he continued. Elia raised to 110,000, and after the big blind folded, Wagner three-bet to 300,000. Elia shoved for a couple hundred thousand more and Wagner called off with the monster draw on {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Elia had top two with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

The {a-Spades} turn gave Wagner more outs and the {10-Hearts} river made him a flush, giving him 1.7 million in chips, and the big lead, as Elia bowed out 17th.

Tighe Tanked

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Pat Tighe
Pat Tighe

Pat Tighe shoved 150,000 over a Charles Johnson raise, and the suddenly hot running Johnson made the call with the {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

Tighe had him crushed with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, but sure enough, Johsnon was all over the {6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. Johnson's set held through the {j-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river and Tighe said goodbye 18th.
