The 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam $200 No-Limit Hold'em will crown a champion today.

Four starting flights drew 520 entries Friday and Saturday, smashing the $50,000 guarantee and creating an $83,981 prizepool.

Now, 77 survivors from those flights will return to play beginning at 12 p.m. local time at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

First comes the money bubble. The top 54 will get paid, so it won't be long until it bursts, even with levels increasing to 40 minutes on the day.

Next comes the chase for spots at the final table where the big money awaits, and, of course, the title, the trophy and what will likely be a $19,300 first-place prize.

After some run good and a bit of a gift at the end of the first flight, perennial Seneca contender Mark Roberts will bring the overall lead into play as the only player over 300,000 in chips.

However, anything can happen, and should Roberts falter even slightly, top local players including Joe Ciffa, Jason Clark and the always dangerous David Battaglia sit within striking distance. Plus, there's a total of 27 players holding six figure stacks ready to pounce.

The payouts will be updated Sunday and should be filled with some impressive numbers considering the $200 buy-in.

It should be an action-packed day and PokerNews' coverage will continue until a winner is crowned,. Get your popcorn ready, the 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam $200 No-Limit Hold'em is about to blast off.
