Mackiewicz Doubles, Napierala Leads

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Kristan Mackiewicz
Kristan Mackiewicz

Blake Napierala got paid off making trip jacks versus Scott Hosbach and pushed up to two million.

Then Hosbach got in a raising war with Kristan Mackiewicz and called off her 330,000-chip push with the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Mackiewicz had the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and they both missed to give her the double. Now Napierala leads and Hosbach is slowly coming back down to earth.

The Legend Falls

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Jason Nablo
Jason Nablo

Jason Nablo shipped it with two eights over a Sahar Khajavi open and she had the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} taking Nablo with it.

Khajavi is now closing in on two million and chip leader Scott Hosbach with 11 left. One more elimination and the final table of ten will be set.

Croak Cracked!

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Brian Croak
Brian Croak

Brian Croak shoved 300,000 total over a William Liang 70,000-chip open. Liang called with two kings and Croak's tournament life was riding on the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Liang moved over the one-million mark with Croak saying goodbye 13th.

No Sorries In Poker

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

William Liang had doubled through Jeff Hobrecker with {a-Spades}{q-Spades} versus {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} after flopping a flush, when they got it in again.

"Should I apologize in advance for this?" William Liang asked, holding the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} versus Jeff Hobrecker's {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

Hobrecker declined, but perhaps he should have taken Liang up on the offer. The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} making Liang a straight and sending Hobrecker out 14th.

Damick Done!

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Chris Damick
Chris Damick

Chris Damick had been riding without the lap bar for a while and has now been tossed off the ride.

He ran nines into Blake Napierala's big slick and Napierala got there.

They head into Level 25 now with 14 remaining.

Run Good

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Blake Napierala doubled through Scott Hosbach with the {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} spiking an ace versus Hosbach's {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

This proved Hosback human, although with the way Napeirala runs, the jury is still out on him.

Falling Fast

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Jeffrey Hobrecker made a three-high flush to take heaps from Jason Nablo, putting the local legend on life tilt.

However, Nablo still had enough chips to bust Michael Jung when his {a-}{j-} cracked his queens.

Moments later, they dropped down to 17 left when Sahar Khajavi's queens held versus Judy Miller's fives.

However, there is 16 left now, with Justin Quinn calling it off with sixes against Jason Clark's {a-}{j-}. Clark hit the jack-high flop and held.
