Dicamillo Out; One Table of Ten Remains; Dinner Break

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Dicamillo got it in with the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and was looked up by Matt Heiligenthaler on the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades} and although Dicamillo paired his king, it made Heiligenthaler a straight.

With that, a final table of ten is set and they'll drop the stacks at the seats before heading off on a 45-minute dinner break. Play will resume at 8 p.m. local time in Niagara Falls.

Allott Misses

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Mark Allott
Mark Allott

Mark Allott's luck has finally run out.

He got it in with a flush draw versus Leo Kaplin's set, and for the first time in recent memory, did not hit the miracle card he needed to stay alive.

And then there were 11.

Dropping Out

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Dietrich Kuhlmann, William Ho and Jonathan Jones are all out after getting it in preflop.

Kuhlmann missed with big slick against nines, Ho shoved queen-high and was beaten by ace-ten, and Jones lost with a dominating ace when Matt Heiligenthaler paired his nine kicker.

They are now down to 12 playing at two six-handed tables.

Fluder Saved By Miracle River

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
John Fluder
John Fluder

John Fluder just snatched the chip lead from Matt Heiligenthaler in a huge hand.

Fluder raised aces and Heiligenthaler defended with the {j-}{8-}. They got it in on a {j-}{8-}{2-} flop and it looked like Heiligenthaler was on his way another knockout and a massive lead.

The turn bricked, but the river was an ace and Fluder made a set to double up. The room exploded and when the dust settled, Fluder ended up on top of the leader board with Heiligenthaler still hot on his heels.

Heiligenthaler Extends

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Matt Heiligenthaler
Matt Heiligenthaler

Jonathan Jones fired big bets on every street through a paired board with no card higher than a ten, but could not shake Matt Heiligenthaler.

Heiligenthaler had two queens, called him down and dragged the one-million-chip pot to extend his lead.

In the meantime, Michael Latour shoved {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and ran into Joseph [Removed:340]'s two queens. The board ran dry and Latour said goodbye.

Plus, Randy Pfeifer is out. He ran {a-}{10-} into Heiligenthaler's fours and did not improve, allowing Heiligenthaler to extend the lead even further.

Played Like A Fluder

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
John Fluder
John Fluder

John Fluder started the day under 40,000. He somehow survived the bubble and is now on the heater of a lifetime, getting it up over 500,000.

He vaulted into contention moments ago after Matt Shanahan shoved around 200,000 over his open. Fluder called with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and had Shanahan's {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} dominated.

The board came no higher than a ten and Fluder crushed Shanahan's dreams on the way to a spot close to the top of the counts.

How Do You Spell Chip Leader?

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Matt Heiligenthaler
Matt Heiligenthaler

Medina, NY's Matt Heiligenthaler has risen from relative obscurity to become the first player past the one-million mark and move into the chip lead.

He won a more than 600,000-chip pot flopping a set of nines, getting it in against the nut-flush draw and fading all trouble.

After picking off a few short stacks later on, he hit seven figures and the top of the counts here in Level 21.
