25 Survive The Second Of Four Flights

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

The 2017 Western New York Poker Challenge continued Friday evening with the second of four flights in the $100,000 guaranteed $300 No Limit Hold'em Event #1.

The flight drew 147 entries, putting the total up to 267 and the event well on its way to surpassing the guarantee, with two more starting flights scheduled for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday.

By the time 14 levels of play were through in the second flight, just 25 survived with Anthony Faulise leading the pack. Six players bagged six figures in another hotly contested heat filled with massive hands and some exciting action.

All the surviving players will return to play down to a winner on Sunday nearing the money bubble. After two flights, the total going through to Sunday is now 42 and counting.

However, Event #1 on the WNYPC schedule continues Saturday with the third starting flight at 10 a.m. local time. Tune in then to enjoy PokerNews' continuing coverage, live from the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino.
