Raimondi Secures Two Doubles

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Peter Raimondi first moved all in the first time with {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} against Zahir Gilani's {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Raimondi's kings up took down the pot, doubling through Gilani and leaving him short stacked in the process.

Rick Cohen found himself being the next two double up Raimondi when he ran his pair of fours into Raimondi's pocket tens. The flop came down with a ten and Cohen was drawing dead when the turn bricked off.

Raimondi now has almost double his starting stack and will be looking to make a push for a Day 2 birth.

Kruger Sends McTigue Home

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The board was showing {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} when John McTigue found himself all in and with a caller in Barry Kruger. The two turned over their hands and McTigue would be at risk of elimination.

McTigue tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for an over pair of tens, Kruger showed {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a flopped straight. McTigue was now drawing dead to the {4-Spades} on the river and Kruger adding some chips to his already healthy stack.

The flop fell {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}, action checked to Alemkunnapuzha who bet 5,000 and Gilani was the only person to make the call. The turn came down the {3-Hearts} and both players checked to the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

Gilani pushed in a bet of 11,800, Alemkunnapuzha thought for a moment but decided to make the fold, giving Gilani the pot and moving him over his starting stack during the process of doing so,
