The 7♣6♣5♥J♣4♦ board gave Brar two pair and Tollefsen's miracle comeback was cut short, sending the Norwegian out in 13th place.
Henrik Tollefsen from under the gun and Qi Xia two seats over got their short stacks into the middle and had near identical chips at their disposal.

The 8♠4♣2♦3♥10♠ board kept Xia in the lead and he doubled for 440,000.
"Unlucky," Gursimran Brar said and Tollefsen replied "that's poker, there is still a chance ... ".
Tollefsen was forced all-in for 25,000 from the big blind next. Alexis Lim raised to 50,000 from under the gun and Ivan Dela Cruz called in the small blind. They checked down the 8♦5♣2♣10♣2♠ board and Lim showed A♦Q♣, Dela Cruz had the A♠J♥. Tollefsen flipped over the 4♦2♦ and survived.
Christopher Pasion raised to 50,000 and Hyunsik Nam in the big blind three-bet to 140,000 for Pasion to call. They checked to the K♣3♦3♠K♠5♠ river on which Nam bet 250,000. Pasion reluctantly called and was shown the J♣3♥ for a full house.
"I thought you always attack my big blind, so I bluffed preflop," Nam told his opponent.
Four eliminations away from the conclusion of Day 2, the average stands at an incredible 45 big blinds but one hand is all it takes to shake up the leaderboard.
That's what happened to former chip leader Patrick Clarke, who suffered a setback when Ivan Dela Cruz earned a full double. In a battle of the blinds, Clarke's J♣10♣ flopped well on 10♠9♠9♣ but not quite good enough to beat the A♥9♦ of Dela Cruz on the 3♥ turn and 7♣ river runout. Dela Cruz doubled for 565,000 and Clarke dropped below a million.
Seung Hyun Han opened to 60,000 and then came along when AJ Acdal three-bet to 140,000 in the next seat. Once Han checked the K♦9♠5♣ flop, Acdal continued for 75,000 and his opponent from South Korea mucked his cards with a lot of frustration as they almost flipped over.
"Ace jack?" Acdal asked but no cards were shown.
Alexis Lim tangled with Patrick Clarke and check-folded the 9♦7♦6♣6♠Q♣ river when his opponent fired a more than pot-sized bet of 450,000.
Up next, Gursimran Brar opened to 50,000 on the button and Clarke came along in the big blind. Clarke check-called for 35,000 on the 8♣5♥2♥ flop, then check-folded the 2♣ turn when Brar bet 65,000. He was shown the K♥K♣ by the joint chip leader.
