Benjamin Ebarle had been grinding a shorter stack for pretty much the entire day and especially so in the last couple of hours. He was part of five-way action to the 9♦8♠4♦ flop on which he moved all-in for 125,000 in the cutoff. Gursimran Brar and Marlon Laxamana check-called to then check down the K♣ turn as well as the 2♥ river.
Ebarle flashed his A♦7♦ for the missed nut flush draw and was beaten by the 6♣4♣ of Laxamana.
"Can I muck?" Brar asked but since it was an all-in showdown, he had to reveal his 6♠5♠ as well before tossing the cards into the muck.
The SiGMA Asia ambassador Ebarle fell not too far from the final table and bowed out in 16th place for PHP 176,500.
