Break Time for the Final 13 Hopefuls

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Another three levels have been completed to reduce the field from the 47 Day 1 survivors all the way to just 13 hopefuls. They all aim to reach the nine-handed final table but that will have to wait at least 15 minutes for the next break, during which the T-1,000 chips are raced off.

Diana Tan Eliminated in 14th Place (PHP 215,300)

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Diana Tan
Diana Tan

Diana Tan three-bet shoved her severe short stack of 223,000 and Ronn Mesina looked her up for the following coin flip showdown.

Diana Tan: 44 All in
Ronn Mesina: AQ

Mesina took the lead on the Q82 flop but needed to dodge fours and hearts. No help for Tan came with the 9 turn and the K river was another blank to end her run in 14th place.

Brar Gets Value On Perfect River

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Qi Xia raised to 40,000 and Gursimran Brar called in the next seat. Marlon Laxamana then three-bet to 140,000 and it folded back to Xia, who used one time bank to fold. Brar came along and both players then checked the K43 flop as well as the 4 turn.

Brar let his action clock run down to five seconds before he declared a bet of 270,000 on the 6 river. Laxamana called without hesitation and then sighed when Brar revealed his 66 for sixes full. He snapped a picture with his phone while also revealing his 99.

Renato Villanueva Eliminated in 15th Place (PHP 215,300)

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Renato Villanueva

In a battle of the blinds, Henrik Tollefsen jammed into Renato Villanueva and the latter called in a duel of shorter stacks on the final two tables.

Renato Villanueva: AK All in
Henrik Tollefsen: A7

The Q74 flop not only gave Tollefsen a pair with his weaker kicker but also the flush draw as well. No help came for Villanueva on the 9 turn and 10 river to end his run in 15th place.

Clarke Doubles Through the Chip Leader

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Patrick Clarke
Patrick Clarke

The action folded all the way to Marlon Laxamana in the small blind and he limped in, Patrick Clarke checked his option to the 10102 flop. Laxamana bet 25,000 and called a raise to 75,000 before the K followed on the turn.

Laxamana now check-called a bet of 225,000 to then declare all-in on the 3 river. Clarke verified with the dealer that his table neighbour had gone all-in and instantly called within the same motion thereafter.

Clarke tabled his 22 for the flopped full house and Laxamana's A7 for the ace-high flush was no good.

No Call for Nam

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On the tail end of a [AsQh5d7dJd| board, Hyunsik Nam check-raised a bet of 135,000 by AJ Acdal to 350,000 in a duel big blind versus cutoff. Acdal used two time bank extensions and folded, which Nam seemingly wasn't happy about.

Benjamin Ebarle Eliminated in 16th Place (PHP 176,500)

Level 31 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Benjamin Ebarle
Benjamin Ebarle

Benjamin Ebarle had been grinding a shorter stack for pretty much the entire day and especially so in the last couple of hours. He was part of five-way action to the 984 flop on which he moved all-in for 125,000 in the cutoff. Gursimran Brar and Marlon Laxamana check-called to then check down the K turn as well as the 2 river.

Ebarle flashed his A7 for the missed nut flush draw and was beaten by the 64 of Laxamana.

"Can I muck?" Brar asked but since it was an all-in showdown, he had to reveal his 65 as well before tossing the cards into the muck.

The SiGMA Asia ambassador Ebarle fell not too far from the final table and bowed out in 16th place for PHP 176,500.

Laxamana Continues to Lead the Way

Level 30 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Gursimran Brar added some chips when he forced out Renato Villanueva and then defended out of the big blind against an under-the-gun raise by chip leader Marlon Laxamana as did Qi Xia in the small blind. They checked the J92 flop to the 4 turn on which Xia checked again.

Brar now bet 55,000 and Laxamana raised to 140,000 thereafter, forcing out Xia. Brar pondered about it for a few seconds and folded amid some visible confusion.

Updated Counts Table Three

Level 30 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Tsun Yin Wong has taken over the chip lead on table three after he jammed into the shorter stack of Diana Tan on the 1063K4 river. The player from Hong Kong offered to expose one card and Tan grabbed one, while Alexis Lim jokingly selected the other.

Only the J was actually flipped over, though.

Tan was then all-in for 267,000 with 1010 against the AK of AJ Acdal and survived thanks to the QQ632 runout.
