Giovanni Zanette raised to 175,000 in the cutoff and Gareth Fourie called in the small blind, Diane Walker came along in the big blind. The flop came K♠J♠7♠ and Fourie bet 250,000, Walker folded and Zanette called.

They headed to the 8♠ turn on which Fourie checked his cards, then bet another 250,000 for Zanette to call.

Appel limped soon after and Colin Horgan raised to 280,000 in the next seat. It folded back to Appel and he called from under the gun. On the K♦K♥J♣ flop, Appel check-folded to a bet of 180,000.

In the next hand, Rohan Conradie jammed for only 300,000 in the small blind and Appel sigh-called after a long time in the tank that used the entire shot clock.
