Karrim Runs Up a Healthy Stack

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Ahmed Karrim tangled with Max Deveson in a duel button versus cutoff and they created a fairly large pot to the Q2227 river. Deveson checked and Karrim bet 62,000 for the vast majority of his stack behind. Deveson had him covered and went into the tank, using one time bank extension.

Deveson eventually called and Karrim flipped over Q10 for deuces full of queens to win the seizable pot.

Soon after, Karrim forced out Marc Grune with a bet of 11,000 into 40,000 on the 875J9 to add further chips.

Horgan Crashes Out Against Fourie

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Colin Horgan
Colin Horgan

In a preflop raising war, Colin Horgan got it in against Gareth Fourie and had a mountain to climb in order to avoid his elimination.

Colin Horgan: 55 All in
Gareth Fourie: KK

The dominated pair found no help on the Q88K9 board, instead, Fourie turned kings full to lock up the pot. Both stacks were briefly counted but Fourie covered without a doubt.

Kavnat Rises Further to the Top

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Diane Walker was eliminated when her AJ could not improve against the AK of Jaron Kavnat, who then added a few more chips to his stack soon thereafter.

Richard Barnard opened to 6,000 and Max Deveson called from the small blind, as did Kavnat in the big blind. The KQ4 flop was checked by Deveson, Kavnat bet 10,000 and took down the pot.

Deveson Gets a Shove Through

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Max Deveson bet the 4337 turn for 11,000 out of the big blind with a shorter stack behind. He was called by Richard Barnard in the hijack and then declared "king please, king of diamonds".

The river brought the 9 and Deveson jammed for 35,000.

Once Barnard went into the tank, Deveson added "now I am definitely winning". One time bank was used by Barnard before he ended up folding.

Bloom Beats Berman Once in Showdown

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Heads-up to the 1062J turn, Sean Bloom checked and subsequently called a bet worth 14,500 by Clive Berman. They checked the 10 river and Bloom exposed the 33.

Berman nodded and said "it's good" before sending his cards into the muck.

"I beat you once in showdown today," Bloom grinned after raking in the pot.

Ben Eliminated by Wilkerson

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The UK's Ben defended the big blind and got it in with K9 on a flop of 982 with top pair. Dylan Wilkerson happily called holding the KK and remained ahead throughout the 7 turn as well as the 3 river. Their table broke right after as the field dropped to only 36 hopefuls.

Fourie Wins Gargantuan Pot to Sucker Punch Kossew

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Gareth Fourie
Gareth Fourie

There were 25,000 chips out in front of Gareth Fourie and Jedd Kossew had then four-bet from the next seat to 60,000. It folded back to Fourie and he moved all-in with a large stack only to get snap-called by the only player that covered him.

Jedd Kossew: AA

Fourie was shell-shock almost instantly and found no help on the K98 turn, but retained some back door equity. Instead, he spiked the J turn and gasped an "oh wow". The table fell silent ahead of the 4 river before Fourie's double was counted. He was in there for 292,500 and skyrocketed into the lead.

"I have a feeling you won't be leaving any time soon," Justin Cohen told the new chip leader.
