The dealer was confused at first whether or not there would be a showdown before all the cards were mucked and Mery won the hand uncontested.

"You know I have the habit to limp aces?" Tin Fook asked Mery in French.

Russel Wheatley jammed with his short stack and Muaaz Gani went over the top.

The A♣7♠ of Wheatley were ahead versus A♦5♦ and earned a double on the 10♠7♥3♥J♣8♦ runout.

Dave Nundloll then busted against Colin Horgan when he made a move on the A♥6♦9♣3♦2♥ board and couldn't beat the Q♣Q♦ of the Irishman. He sent the cards into the muck and never showed, leaving the tournament area swiftly.

Horgan was barely done stacking the chips when Teren Ramnundlall got it in against him with 7♦7♥ versus A♣6♥. The 10♦8♣2♣Q♠9♦ board changed nothing and Ramnundlall doubled.

Muaaz Gani flipped with ace-jack against the 3♣3♦ of Russel Wheatley, who had previous doubled through him.

The board ran out J♥8♥6♠3♠K♥ and it was another roller coaster sucker punch on table 12, sending Gani to the rail.

"Soon you gonna have the 212 thousand from your all-in with pocket sixes," Darren Kramer joked. After that referenced hand, Wheatley had dropped to only 2,000 but is still in the mix now.

Brauer Busts After Clash With Courtney

With two spades until the turn and the K♠ making an appearance on the river, Stephen Courtney check-called for 50,000 out of the big blind. His opponent was Ryan Brauer, who flipped over the A♠10♣ for a bluff with the nut flush blocker.

Courtney showed 8♠4♠ and Brauer sighed in agony.

He was then forced all-in two hands later with Rajeev Poonhath in the small blind and Alvin Pillay coming along. They checked the K♠J♥8♣ flop, invested the minimum on the 7♣ turn and checked the 5♦ river.

Poonhath showed J♦3♠, Brauer flashed the Q♣ first and peeled the 2♠ only to bust.

In the meanwhile, Colin Horgan has been terrorising table 15 to nearly close the gap to chip leader Matthew Whitelaw.

The action on table 15 has been exhilarating, and Colin Horgan has been at the centre of most hands chatting up a storm. He even clashed with Matthew Whitelaw in a larger jack-high board containing two clubs, with Horgan tempted to call the river bet by his opponent but mucking and exposing the Q♦.

Whitelaw showed 6♣4♣ for a bluff and Horgan laughed it off. They are both gunning for the chip lead but several other players have a chance to top the leaderboard for tonight.
