Rudolf Fourie
Rudolf Fourie

On a heads-up turn of K636, Rudolf Fourie checked out of the blinds and Leonard Dormehl bet 5,000. The check-shove by Fourie followed for 32,900 and Dormehl asked for a count, then called.

Rudolf Fourie: 86 All in
Leonard Dormehl: KQ

"Everybody but you knew what I have," Fourie joked and the river then brought the sucker punch with the K. Fourie re-entered and drew the very same seat.

Eduarte Duarte

Three ways to the 8826 turn with some 21,500 in the middle, Jaryd Jardien bet 15,000 in the hijack. Eduarte Duarte raised to 32,000 in the cutoff and Jedd Kossew then pushed all-in from the button. Jardien folded and Duarte called.

Jedd Kossew: K8

The river was the 2 and they chopped the pot to chip up at the expense of Jardien.

Berlin Takes From Young

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of K98 with only a few of the players at the table back in their seats, Devid Berlin bet 3,500 when checked to. Maxwell Young check-raised to 8,000 and Berlin called. They checked the 7s] turn and Young bet the 2 river for 11,000.

Berlin eventually called and won the pot with K6, as Young had bluffed the QJ for a missed gutshot.

On the QJ74 turn, Leonard Dormehl bet 3,000 and Nadav Mazor called. "Don't slow play, now you let me win," Rudolf Fourie said as he over-called, and so did Lee Thaver in the small blind. They checked the K river and Thaver showed the KJ to win the pot.

Flush Over Flush Over Flush Boost for Courtney

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Stephen Courtney
Stephen Courtney

There was a spectacular showdown unfolding over on table 12 when three flushes collided, and apparently Devid Berlin had also folded what would have been a flush as well.

On a flop of J82 with 13,000 in the middle, the chips went in with Stephen Courtney and Bernard Gossard at risk against Ryan Brauer.

Stephen Courtney: A7 All in
Bernard Gossard: KQ All in
Ryan Brauer: 63

The 3 turn and 2 river were more or less a formality as Courtney tripled up, while Gossard doubled the remainder of his short stack behind against Brauer.

McCarthy Gets Some Value From Hira

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a three-way flop of Q83, Ashley Hira in the small blind was the only one to check-call a bet of 2,000 by Jamie McCarthy on the button while Bradley Moore folded. Hira check-called for another 6,000 on the 9 turn and they checked the 8 river.

Hira tabled the 66 but was beaten by QJ.

"I didn't think you had a queen," he said and then slammed down a shot that Rudolf Fourie had ordered.

One table later, Hira raised the button to get called twice. Gilbert Tin Fook bet the K103 flop for 2,000 and Hira called, jokingly declaring "I give it to you Gilbert".

They checked the 9 turn and 10 river and Hira won the pot with J9, as Tin Fook had missed the flush draw with Q5.
