Horgan Back With a Boost; Nortje Gets a Shove Through

Aidan Jacobs bet the Q♣8♥2♠7♠ turn for 7,000 and Muaaz Gani reluctantly folded. Gani was shortly after eliminated by Colin Horgan, who had sat down for the first hand in the big blind to send the Gani to the rail.

Ashley Hira and Mariette Language joined the rail while Marko Nortje avoided the same fate for now. In a multi-way pot to the 9♦8♥2♦ flop, Nortje jammed for 18,500 in the small blind. Leonard Dormehl, Didier Mery and Rudolf Fourie all folded and Nortje flashed the 6♦3♦ after Fourie had declared he can't call with six-high.

Devid Berlin limped from under the gun and called a raise to 3,000 by Stephen Courtney in the next seat. On the A♦10♥3♣ flop, Berlin check-called a bet and they checked the 9♠ turn to the J♦ river. Berlin now bet 10,000 with around 15,000 behind and he called all-in to the shove by Courtney.

The 3♦3♥ of Courtney for bottom set were good to score the knockout, as Berlin's A♠J♣ had flopped top pair and made two pair on the river.

Hennie Appel raised to 2,700 and was called by Jean Souprayenmestry from the next seat. Alvin Pillay called on the button and Maxwell Young then jammed for 10,800 in the small blind. Appel folded, Souprayenmestry went all-in over the top and Pillay let go.

Rajeev Poonhath raised to 3,000 from under the gun and Rayhaan Adam called in the cutoff. Colin Horgan then made it 15,000 to go from the big blind and Poonhath then simply pushed all-in.

Adam folded and Horgan used one time bank extension before doing so as well, exposing the A♠J♠.

Poonhath showed his A♥K♦ and Adam replied "I was way ahead of both of you, I had pocket eights":

On the tail end of a A♣6♠3♣2♣J♣ board, Cliton Taliwanth bet 13,000 with a shorter stack behind. Dhinesh Soopramanien from Mauritius pondered about his decision for a while and called. Taliwanth tabled the 9♠5♠ for a bluff and Soopramanien won the pot with A♠J♥ for two pair on the four flush board, further boosting his large stack.
