Down to Four Tables

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ciro Koncke busted and jumped straight into Day 1c, while Muaaz Gani will likely do the same. He was left short after a turn lead and river check-raise by Reza de Bruyns on a board of 976KQ and couldn't spin up the last seven blinds thereafter.

Only 36 players remain spread across four tables and they will aim to make it to the last 22 finishers who are set to advance from this flight.

Naidoo Rises Further Against van der Spoel

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In three-way action to the 1066 flop, Keegan Naidoo bet 13,000 and Gerrit van der Spoel was the only caller. Naidoo bet again the 5 turn for van der Spoel to call, they checked down the K river when a possible flush arrived.

The 63 for Naidoo were good as trips won the pot, leaving van der Spoel short.

After the 8 turn, Jung bet 17,000 and Gamsy called, then did so again for 22,000 on the 10 river to catch Jung bluffing.

Chamani Leads Out Tables; Berlin Chops

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Marina Vechirskaya limp-called the all-in of table short stack Devid Berlin and had a flip with 87 versus 44.

The board ran out KJJK8 and Berlin grabbed his phone to snap a picture of the outcome, ready to leave. Only then the other players at the table pointed out the chop as the eight didn't play.

Vechirskaya has seen a rough fall from grace on the leaderboard while Ronit Chamani has taken over the lead.

SM Makes a Big Move; Gamsy Doesn't Bow Down

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Adam Gamsy
Adam Gamsy

SM made it 8,000 to go with the AQ and Adam Gamsy called from the small blind with 98, Nic Ioannoy came along with the 53.

The 993 flop saw Gamsy check-raise from 8,000 to 17,000 and SM three-bet to 45,000 for Gamsy to call with his trips. Gamsy led the J turn for 30,000 to get called by SM and then bet the Q on the river for another 40,000. SM raised it up to 125,000 and that put Gamsy into the tank, though, he made the call with trips to win a massive pot.

Stojic Flipped Out by Fourie

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Djordje Stojic pushed all-in for 25,000 in the cutoff and Bruno de Carvalho called on the button. Rudolf Fourie then jammed from the big blind and de Carvalho asked for a count, then folded when it was deemed to be for 123,000.

Djordje Stojic: AJ All in
Rudolf Fourie: 1010

De Carvalho exposed his folded 77 and Fourie instantly said "you are a champion".

The pocket pair remained ahead all the way on the Q9399 board and Stojic departed. Marina Vechirskaya followed suit as she fell to Sheldon Grove, having previously lost a lot of her chips to a set of nines by Ronit Chamani.

Kramer Out Before the Break

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In the last hand before the break, Darren Kramer got his stack of 77,000 in with the 1010 against the 88 of Edgar Antezana.

One eight had folded, but the case eight came on the Q86J7 board to knock out Kramer. He has a shorter stack from Day 1b already and might still fire into Day 1d to try and run up a stack.
