Sean Bloom raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by Troy McTeer on the button. Reza de Bruyn came along from the small blind and Matt Mulhall made it a four ways family pot from the big blind.

De Bruyn bet the J♠9♠3♥ flop for 3,500 and Mulhall folded. Bloom gave it some thought and made it 9,000 to go before McTeer reraised to 25,000. His two opponents folded and the High Roller runner-up earned the pot.

Adam Gamsy raised to 1,600 and found one caller in Beat Schlegel. Rudolf Fourie then announced all-in for around 20,000 out of the blinds and Gamsy called, Schlegel folded.

"Show me ace-king," Fourie said and Gamsy turned over the 9♠9♥. Fourie flipped with the Q♦10♦ but didn't find any help on the 5♥5♦3♣4♣8♣ runout. When he stood up from the chair, a T-1,000 chip fell from under his iPad and he tossed it to Gamsy.

Three ways to the 8♣7♥3♠ flop, Lauren Piha checked and Muzamil Gothey bet 5,500 into around 8,000 out of the hijack. Braam van Huyssteen then raised to 15,500 on the button and Piha folded, Gothey called. Both checked the 6♠ turn and Gothey also checked the K♠ on the river.

Van Huyssteen now jammed and the Tanzanian asked for a count. The shove was for 27,100 and Gothey called within fifteen seconds. He was shown the 6♣5♣ for a busted straight draw on the flop that had turned a pair of sixes. Gothey had that beat with the Q♦Q♣ and earned a healthy boost to his stack.

Barend Jacobs had doubled in the first half an hour of play and his son Aidan Jacobs saw the outcome from up close one table over. Since then, their paths have however taken different directions and the son was moved to a different table, where he started to rack up a serious stack.

In a big pot to the J♣6♣2♦8♥K♠, he had the best of it with J♠J♥ for a flopped set of jacks and his opponent "improved" to two pair with the river, bowing out with the K♣J♦.
