In a preflop contest, Ryan David Anderson was all-in for around 15 big blinds with AQ against the AK of Karrim. The kicker played on the AJ882 and Karrim notched up another elimination to leave the table five-handed.

The board showed AJ7A4 and Hennie Appel had jammed into SM, who called all-in.

Appel showed K10 for a busted gutshot and SM doubled with the A6 for trips aces.

"I thought he had less," Appel concluded.

In a battle of the blinds with SM soon after, both made two pair to the J726 turn. The 62 of Poonhath in the big blind were in trouble against J7 and the 4 river confirmed the double for the Sultan of Swings.
