Matthew Whitelaw raised it up to 80,000 from an early position and called the shove by Diane Walker on the button.
Diane Walker: 5♠5♥
Matthew Whitelaw: 3♦3♥
The Q♦9♣4♦9♦7♥ board came with a sweat but Walker held for the double.

The Q♦9♣4♦9♦7♥ board came with a sweat but Walker held for the double.
Matthew Whitelaw raised to 80,000 with the A♥J♦ and Colin Horgan three-bet to 240,000 on the hijack with the Q♠8♠. They headed to the A♦K♣8♥ flop once Whitelaw called and led for 275,000 to get a snap-fold.
The camera crew switched back to the feature table on which a large pot was brewing between Colin Horgan on the button and Cliton Taliwanth in the big blind.
Both had a piece of the 10♠8♠7♦2♥5♣ board and Taliwanth with the A♣8♥ had around 410,000 behind when Horgan jammed into him via third barrel with the A♥10♦ for top pair and top kicker with the chips seemingly having gone in after the river only with three streets of betting.
Taliwanth burned through three time banks and eventually called it off to get shown the bad news, as he was sent to the payout desk.
Harold Brooks pushed a short stack from the button and Imran Bhojani did so from the small blind, both of which were called by Rohan Conradie in the big blind.
Harold Brooks: A♣3♥
Imran Bhojani: K♥J♥
Rohan Conradie: Q♦Q♥
The 10♠7♣2♠2♣8♥ board kept pocket queens in the lead for both shorter stacks to bust. Brooks and Bhojani receive ZAR 58,045 each and the last 18 players will now balance to the final two tables. Coincidentally, these two casualties have also won an SPT Main Event this year but came up short of a second title in 2024.
Jean Souprayenmestry jammed a micro stack of 70,000 with A♠9♥ and Nic Ioannoy called from the big blind with the 3♦2♣. The A♥K♥8♦10♦5♦ board kept the French player in contention.
Joey Weissman then jammed a shorter stack with A♠9♥ and Ioannoy called in the small blind with K♣Q♣.
The K♥10♠4♦2♦5♥ board provided a king on the turn and Weissman bowed out in 21st place for ZAR 58,045.
Level: 23
Blinds: 20,000/40,000
Ante: 40,000
Another two levels have come to an end with 21 players remaining and the final ten-minute break of the night has commenced. Two further levels are scheduled for today or when there are nine players still with chips, whichever of the two comes first.
Harold Brooks was all-in for just 110,000 with the Q♦6♣ in the big blind and up against Matthew Whitelaw in the cutoff, who had the dominating A♣6♠.
The Q♣8♦5♦3♦J♦ board improved Brooks and he stuck around.
Ahmed Karrim opened to 60,000 with the J♣4♣ in the cutoff and Matthew Whitelaw called on the button with A♦3♦. On the Q♦8♦4♥ flop, both players checked and Karrim bet the 2♥ turn for 220,000, Whitelaw called with his huge combo draw.
After the 2♠ river, Karrim bet 30,000 and Whitelaw raised to 155,000 for Karrim to instantly call and win the pot with his fours and deuces.
On a board of 9♦7♣4♠5♦4♦, Giovanni Zanette fired three barrels with the final bet worth 200,000 against Edgar Antezana. The latter called and mucked when he was shown the J♣J♥.
Just before the end of the level, Wessel Conradie got his micro stack into the middle and was isolated by Gareth Fourie.
Conradie's 4♥3♥ were live versus A♠J♥ and the 7♠3♣2♣8♠6♠ board kept him in contention.
