Three ways to the Q♥J♣9♥ flop, Anjan Mulji checked and Stephen Courtney bet 3,000 in the hijack. Cliton Taliwanth raised to 16,500 on the button with 2,000 behind and Mulji folded. Courtney used two time banks before moving all-in and Taliwanth called.

Nic Ioannoy raised to 1,200 and Rudolf Fourie made it 3,000 to go in the next seat. Henk Wiese called and Ioannoy came along. "Hey hey, raise and reraise?!" Fourie joked to Wiese before they headed to the J♦J♣6♣ flop. Ioannoy checked, Fourie bet 7,000 and Wiese was the only caller.
Both checked the 10♣ turn and Fourie also checked the 8♥ river, He then thought to have heard a check behind by Wiese and exposed his A♣10♦ already. But Wiese had not checked and bet 7,000.
"It's okay, I fold," Fourie replied and was shown the K♣Q♣ by Wiese.
Marko Nortje jammed the A♥K♣2♦8♦ turn against his former nemesis Jehan Richards and the latter eventually called with the A♣6♦ for top pair. Nortje only had the J♣10♣ for a gutshot and missed the 10♥ river with an inferior pair.
Rajeev Poonhath was eliminated by Nic Ioannoy and instantly re-entered into the same seat. Early chip leader David Ng lost some chips but still has nearly two starting stacks.
Day 1b has reached a stage where the chips are flying and the field is up to 58 entries with 42 players remaining.
Four ways to the K♣7♦3♠ flop, it checked to Joe Rahme and he bet 11,000. Panayiotis Giannakopoulos called from one seat over and Anand Kumar then pushed all-in for 15,500 thereafter. The fourth player in the hand folded and Rahme called, as did Giannakopoulos.
Both active players checked down the 2♠ turn as well as 2♥ river. Rahme showed the 9♥9♠ but Giannakopoulos had that beat with the K♦J♠. Kumar was pipped by one kicker as his K♠10♦ ended the run on this bullet.
Giannakopoulos won the next larger pot to further boost his stack.
Anand Kumar was left with around half the starting stack on the second bullet while Imran Bhojani also entered for the second time and into the seat he previously busted from. Kinesh Pather entered for the first time whereas Karolis Domarkas and Venesen Naidoo departed, as did Jacobus de Nysschen.
Three ways to the 6♦5♥4♣ flop with around 8,000 in the middle, Marko Nortje checked in the small blind. Fabio Cornelli bet 2,000 and Okkie Fourie called in the cutoff. Nortje then check-raised to 5,500 with around 7,000 behind and Cornelli folded after using one time bank, while Fourie called.
Nortje jammed the 10♣ turn and Fourie folded.
"Oh, I thought I had it," Nortje said as he double-checked his cards, eventually flashing the 9♣ before collecting the pot.
In the last hand before the break, Rajeev Poonhath scored a double through Elaine Pfister when his K♥7♣ in the small blind had flopped top pair on the K♦7♠2♥ flop. Pfister could not get away from Q♠Q♣ when her pair of queens remained the second-highest on the runout.
Jedd Kossew has entered during the break and took a seat one table over of them. Diane Walker and Nic Ioannoy re-entered, both sitting down on table four.
