Edgar Antezana opened to 50,000 with the 9♥7♥ on the button for Alexander Rizvi to defend the Q♠7♣ in the big blind. On the Q♣7♠2♠ flop, Rizvi trapped his top two pair and chekc-called for 50,000. They checked the 9♦ turn and Rizvi check-raised the A♣ river from 75,000m to 200,000 to get called.
There were only around 250,000 in the middle to the A♣J♣5♠3♥10♥ river on which Rayhaan Adam pushed all-in for more than the average. Franco Da Matta asked for a count as the shove was for a massive 1,420,000 and then vividly exclaimed "what the fuck Ray?"
Sascha Manns joked "I want a t-shirt with that please".
Da Matta tried to get some info out of Adam but eventually folded, while Adam didn't show his cards. He claimed to have had two pair with ace-jack but nobody at the table really believed that.
Over on the outer tables, the J♥J♠ of Greg Mokgoatlheng were an over pair to the 10♠6♥3♥ flop and up against Rayhaan Adam with the A♥5♥. The 10♥ turn left Mokgoatlheng on the ropes as he now needed a miracle full house to stay in contention. No help came with the 7♠ river and Mokgoatlheng bowed out in 29th place.
Three ways to the A♠8♠6♦ flop, the action checked to Naven Naicker and he bet 65,000. Jon Persent in the small blind called and Sascha Manns check-raised to 205,000 in the big blind. Naicker gave a lot of speech before he lost two time banks and then moved all-in for 575,000.
Persent folded and Manns called.
Naven Naicker: A♣Q♠
Sascha Manns: A♦2♠
Andrew Holland predicted that Manns was gonna hit the deuce because he was the "luckiest player in the world but the 6♣ turn and 5♠ river were two blanks.
Damon Fine ended up all-in and at risk with Q♦J♥ against the A♦4♣ of Jon Persent and the J♦7♦2♥K♠2♣ board paired his jack on the flop for the South African vlogger to survive.
Michael Cupido took a very aggressive line when he clicked it back on the 8♦6♣2♥ flop when he faced a bet by Ariel Mazabow, a raise by Rayhaan Adam and then check-three-bet himself. Mazabow only called and Adam folded.
Cupido jammed the 4♥ turn for 800,000 effective and Mazabow snap-called.
Ariel Mazabow: 8♣8♦
Michael Cupido: K♥Q♥
The river brought the 5♥ for the flush and Mazabow busted in spectacular fashion.
"If he clicks it back on the flop, I am folding but when the heart comes on the turn I was getting it in," an ecstatic Cupido said after his vidid celebration.
The UK's James Rann also busted but in a more standard fashion. He was all-in for 500,000 with the A♠K♣ from the small blind and Jon Persent looked him up with the K♦K♠.
"The ace of spades is a good card," Rann said right before the flop came A♥7♠4♦ flop. Persent was down to the case king and got it with the K♥ turn. Rann needed another ace and missed on the 4♥ river.
