Over on the outer table, Jon Persent raised to 200,000 on the button and Muaaz Gani then three-bet to 700,000 with less than two blinds behind. Persent gave it plenty of consideration but folded.
Gani jammed the next button and Edgar Antezana in the small blind folded. Fellow short stack Alexander Rizvi mulled it over but ended up folding also.
Michael Cupido raised to 175,000 with the A♦J♠ and Naven Naicker called with the A♦J♠ in the big blind.
They checked to the 10♠9♦3♦2♦5♦ river on which Cupido hit the ace-high flush. Naicker checked the top pair for the third street in a row and folded to a bet of 500,000.
Alexander Rizvi limped the small blind and then faced a raise to 205,000 by Jayson Zulch in the big blind. After some consideration, Rizvi folded.
Muaaz Gani opened to 175,000 shortly after and Zulch moved all-in from the small blind. His shove was for 1,430,000, which covered Gani, who let his shot clock run down to five seconds before folding.
The action folded to Jaco Mouton on the button and he pushed all-in for 850,000. Jon Persent in the small blind glanced to the other side of the dealer and then flat-called, Muaaz Gani folded in the big blind.

The next two hours at the tables have whittled down the field of hopefuls to 13 contenders and they are now sent on a scheduled dinner break of 60 minutes. The action will resume at approximately 7.20 p.m. local time.
Jon Persent made it 125,000 to go with the A♠A♣ and Jaco Mouton called out of the big blind with the K♣4♣ to pair his kicker on the 8♠8♥4♠ flop. He check-called for 125,000 and they checked the K♦ on the turn. After the 6♣ river, Mouton led for 175,000 and called a raise to 500,000 to get shown the bad news right before the dinner break.
Naven Naicker three-bet out of the big blind and TA called to the 7♣6♣3♣ flop. Naicker continued for 275,000 and TA called to then see the former leap out of his chair on the Q♥ turn. Naicker opted to fire a second barrel for 600,000 and TA quickly folded.
