Benji Berman in the hijack raised to 700 and Eben Lottering three-bet to 2,000 on the button, picking up a single caller in the initial raiser. On the Q♥9♠7♦ flop, the action checked to Lottering and his bet of 5,000 won the pot. He flashed the A♠K♠ before collecting the pot.

With around 8,000 in the middle to the K♦9♦7♥ flop, Julie Ramos bet 3,000 and Andrew Holland raised to 10,000 on the button. Ramos used one time bank and called. On the 2♠ turn, Ramos check-called for 15,000 and then led the 9♣ on the river for 25,000. Holland called and was shown the A♣K♣, after which he was more than happy to reveal A♦K♠ for the split pot.
Ramos' sister Nicolette can also be found on the same table.
Three ways to the 3♠2♠2♥J♦ turn, the action was checked to Hanre Retief and he bet 2,100. Only Eben Lottering check-called and checked again the 6♣ on the river. Retief bet another 3,700 and won the pot without resistance.
"I would have folded preflop but since she called ..." Adam Katz said after dragging in a healthy pot against his table neighbour. On a draw-heavy board of A♦J♦9♥2♦5♥, the A♠10♠ of Katz was good as he had cracked the pocket kings of his neighbour.

Picking up the action on the 10♦3♣2♦Q♣ turn, Carrie Feinauer faced a bet of 10,000 by Ricardo Sequeira after which she opted to fold. Her opponent first flashed the A♠ and also slid up the other card to reveal another ace as well.
"I had pocket jacks," Feinauer mentioned in the table chat.
It didn't take long for the action to kick off and the field has already increased to open another three tables with more set to go into play. Among those seated now are Sugen Singh, Jedd Kossew and Nico Du Toit, among others.
