Down to only 12,300, Rajeev Poonhath was all-in and at risk with the A♣7♣ and needed to improve, as Norman Cherry Sr had him dominated with the A♥Q♠. The K♥Q♣J♠ flop left Poonhath in need of running cards to double or a ten to chop. Neither came on the 6♠ turn and 3♣ river.

Nic Ioannoy entered and was sent to the live stream table, which had lost several of the shorter stacks. Giovanni Zanette jumped into Day 1b as well and lost a few chips before he three-bet jammed for 28,800 in the small blind. Rajeev Poonhath called and flipped with 8♥8♠ against the A♣Q♠ of Zanette.
The over cards struck on the Q♥6♦3♥10♣7♦ board and Zanette doubled to pull ahead of Poonhath.
Braam Van Huyssteen raised to 3,200 from under the gun and Jamie Vilela three-bet to 13,000 from the next seat, which was called by Van Huyssteen once everyone else had folded.
Following the Q♥Q♠4♥ flop, Van Huyssteen checked and Vilela continued for 20,000. The instant check-shove by Van Huyssteen came moments later and Vilela said "you don't need to count" as he snap-called.

Vilela asked for a king and then also requested hearts on the 5♥ turn. However, the J♣ river was a blank and Van Huyssteen doubled for 38,800.
Alexandre Blanc had vanished prior to the dinner break while Robert Cowley did so once the action resumed. He jumped into the ongoing satellite, as did Norman Cherry after his recent elimination.
Next to fall was Joe Rahme who ran with J♥J♦ into the A♠A♥ of KM and found no escape.
Norman Cherry had been pushed around in several hands while a few other players at the table picked up premium pocket pairs. Down to around twenty blinds, he then got it in with the A♣10♥ only to run smack dab into the A♠A♦ of JS.
No miracle came with the Q♣6♣5♠7♥Q♦ board and that spelled the end for Cherry.
Brown Banda was all-in for 36,600 preflop and tabled the J♦J♥, looked up by Huawei Sun and several players expected to see ace-king on the other side of the table. Instead, Sun revealed a dominated 7♣7♠.
The tides changed on the 7♦6♦6♣ flop on which Sun made sevens full. Nothing changed on the K♣ turn and the 7♥ river then even gave Sun quads. Banda was eliminated with a bad beat story to tell and he was joined on the rail by Edgar Antezana moments later.
"That was an overkill," Tristan Lombard joked.
The hand started with an open raise by Jonathan Hoal and two callers in Hennie Appel as well as Norman Cherry. But only Cherry check-called Appel's bets on the Q♣Q♠2♦ flop and 4♣ turn, the latter worth 8,000.
Cherry then checked the 8♠ river and Appel asked him "how much do you have there" before betting 16,200 with 15,000 behind. Cherry tank-folded and Appel raked in the pot.
On a flop of A♣K♣5♣, Jaco Mouton got his stack of 38,500 into the middle and Cliton Taliwanth called with the covering stack.
Mouton shook his head when he rolled over the A♠Q♥ for top pair only. Taliwanth was ahead with the A♦5♦ for top and bottom pair. Nothing changed on the 7♦ turn but the Q♣ river gave Mouton superior two pair for the double.
