Christner on Fumes

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

Christian Christner bet 11,000 out of the small blind on a {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board. Byron Kaverman chased away David Peters with a raise to 28,000 in middle position, but Christner came along. He checked the {8-Clubs} river after using one of his time extensions and thinking for a full 90 seconds, and he quickly folded when Kaverman bet 28,000 more.

Hart Flops Straight

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante
Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart

From under the gun, Kevin Hart opens the action with a limp before Bryn Kenney makes it 5,500 next to speak.

The action folds back to Hart and he calls as the flop falls {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and he checks.

Kenney bets out 7,000 and Hart calls as the {3-Diamonds} on the turn is checked by both players.

The river lands the {8-Clubs} and Hart bets out 13,000 with Kenney quickly calling.

Hart tables his {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a flopped straight and scoops the pot.

"Is that a straight?" asks Hart.

"You flopped it!" announces the dealer.

"Say that again," quips Hart to the dealer while he rakes in the pot.

Marchese Bets Out Negreanu

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

The action folded to Daniel Negreanu on the button, and he opened with a raise to 4,000. Tom Marchese called in the big blind and checked the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} flop.

Negreanu continued for 6,000 and Marchese called before both players checked the {Q-Spades} on the turn.

The river landed the {J-Spades} and Marchese led out for 16,000. The full 30-second time allotment ticked away before Negreanu pushed his cards towards the muck and folded.

"In a cash game I would have paid just to see it!' laughed Negreanu as Marchese raked in the pot.

Bonomo Doubles Through Hellmuth

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

From the button, Phil Hellmuth raised to 4,000 only to have Justin Bonomo three-bet to 16,000 from the small blind.

The action returns to Hellmuth and he called as the dealer spread a {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop and Bonomo continued for 15,000.

Hellmuth responded with a raise to 40,000 and Bonomo called as the {Q-Hearts} landed on the turn and he checked.

Hellmuth shuffled his chips and then cut out a bet of 60,000 only to have Bonomo move all in for 144,000 total as Hellmuth snap-called.

Hellmuth: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Bonomo: {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

With Bonomo at risk, but in the lead, he would need to fade the board pairing to stay alive, and when the dealer dropped the {3-Spades} on the river, he doubled through to over 410,000 as Hellmuth dropped to just 88,000 in chips.

Berkey's Bullets

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

Matt Berkey raised, and Dan Smith defended his big blind. On a {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, Berkey bet 6,000 and Smith made it 23,000. Berkey called. He called another 40,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn, and both players checked the {j-Clubs}. Smith turned up {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, but Berkey had {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

"I saw you wanted to three-bet preflop," Berkey commented after the hand.

"That's twice he's had aces," someone said.

"That we know of," Smith said.

John Juanda
John Juanda

John Juanda bet 11,500 from the small blind on a board of {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. David Einhorn made it a big raise to 46,000 in the cutoff, and Juanda used a time extension before mucking, leaving himself just over 100,000.

The next hand, Juanda opened button and called a three-bet to 14,500 from small blind Fedor Holz. The flop came {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Juanda called a continuation-bet of 11,000. Holz moved all in on the {6-Clubs} turn, and Juanda called the rest off without much delay.

Juanda: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Holz: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Holz had turned a combo draw, but he needed help on the river. The dealer delivered it in the form of the {10-Clubs}. Juanda calmly slid his remaining time extensions to the dealer and headed for the doors.
