Tollerene Falls to Andress

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ben Tollerene
Ben Tollerene

Ben Tollerene was trying to spin his way up in what started as a three-way pot. Stephen Chidwick was in the hijack and he slid in 4,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, earning calls from John Andress on the button and Tollerene in the small blind.

They carried on to the {10-Hearts} where both Tollerene and Chidwick checked. Andress fired 18,000 in position and only Tollerene stuck around, leaving himself with last 25,000.

The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Tollerene quickly checked. Andress needed a time extension before putting Tollerene all-in. Tollerene himself had already burned all his timebanks so he had to make the decision for his tournament life within 30 seconds. He eventually grabbed his chips and moved them towards the middle.

Tollerene's campaign was over after Andress showed {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, beating his {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Smith Uses All His Time Extension Chips Before Doubling

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Dan Smith Doubles
Dan Smith Doubles

Catching the action on the flop of {3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, Dan Smith checked from under the gun to Isaac Haxton who bet 9,500.

Smith called, and when the turn landed the {2-Spades}, he checked to Haxton again. Haxton bet out 45,000, and Smith made the call as the river landed the {2-Clubs}.

Smith checked, and as Haxton's initial 30 second was about to expire, he used a time extension chip.

As Haxton's additional 60 seconds was about to expire, he announced he was all in for 320,500.

Smith immediately stood up and threw out of one his time extension chips.

Smith continually switched from looking directly at an emotionless Haxton, and back to the board, before he would then break down his stack and riffle some chips.

As Smith's additional 60 seconds was about to expire, he flung another time extension chip out in front of the other before he would then use his final one.

With the last few seconds about to expire, and Smith's hand likely to be declared as a fold, Smith announced a call and tabled his {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

Haxton nodded, and tabled his {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for a bluff.

Smith's stack was broken down to reveal he had 252,500, and with that pot, he doubled to 625,000 while Haxton dropped to 68,000 in chips.

Perkins Folds to the Pressure

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Steffen Sontheimer (big blind) and Bill Perkins (button) each put in 45,000 or so preflop and Sontheimer checked the {7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop. Perkins bet 30,000 and Sontheimer called. Both checked the {9-Diamonds}, bringing the {8-Spades} out. Sontheimer moved all in for about 200,000 effective and Perkins folded fairly quickly.

"What'd you have?" Perkins asked.

"Nuts, obviously," Sontheimer said. "When you ask for information you should first give some yourself."

"One pair."

"One pair preflop?"

Perkins shook his head.

"I had a straight," Sontheimer said.

Lichtenberger Wins With Second Barrel

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A three-way pot emerged as Cary Katz (small blind), Markus Durnegger (under the gun) and Andrew Lichtenberger (button) went to the {5-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades} pot. Action got checked to Lichtenberger who bet 9,000. However, both of his opponents were interested to see the turn so they matched his bid.

Lichtenberger fired a second shell on the {7-Clubs}, making it 31,500 this time. That was finally enough to get rid of both Katz and Durnegger as Lichtenberger approached 200,000 in chips.

Flush for Greenberg

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

From under the gun, Kahle Burns raised to 3,500 and both Larry Greenberg and Kathy Lehne called from the button and small blind respectively.

With the action on Dennis Blieden in the big blind, he three-bet to 16,000, and soon after, Burns, Greenberg, and Lehne all called.

The flop landed {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and action checked to Greenberg who bet 30,000. Lehne folded, but Blieden called as Burns kicked his cards to the muck.

The turn of the {K-Clubs} checked through as the {3-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Blieden checked, Greenberg bet 75,000, and Blieden mucked.

Petrangelo Bets River and Wins

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

From the hijack, Phil Ivey raised to 4,000 and both Nick Petrangelo and Dan Smith called from the button and big blind respectively.

The flop landed {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and Ivey continued for 5,000 with both Petrangelo and Smith making the call as the turn of the {3-Spades} checked through.

The river fell the {10-Hearts} and Smith and Ivey checked Petrangelo who bets 24,000. Smith folds, as does Ivey, and Petrangelo collected the pot.

"Nicky P. F**king stealing my chicken over here!" added Smith after the hand.

Full House for Davies

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Seth Davies checked to David Peters who bet 9,000.

Davies called, and then checked the {7-Spades} on the turn as Peters bet 23,000. Davies called again, and when the river landed the {7-Hearts}, he checked.

Peters was forced to use a time extension chip, and then checked behind.

Davies tabled his {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a full house, and Peters mucked.
