Burns Doubles Through Blieden

Level 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

On a board of {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, Kahle Burns found himself all in for his last 51,000 against Dennis Blieden.

Blieden: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Burns: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

With Burns at risk, he would just need to fade one of the two remaining kings in the deck to stay alive, and when the river landed the {8-Spades}, it ensured his double to 165,000.

Dennis Blieden raised under the gun with a T5,000 chip and got two callers before Doug Polk made it 26,500 to go from the small blind. Blieden fired in a four-bet to 89,000. The squeezed players mucked and Polk went into the tank. He used a time extension.

"I think I'm gonna make a huge laydown," he said. "God, I hate myself."

He slid his cards to the dealer and Blieden showed {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

"Oh nooooo," Polk said. "I folded a huge hand."

"I recommend never making a huge laydown to me," Blieden said with a smile.
