Polk Doubles Through Burns

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Doug Polk Doubles
Doug Polk Doubles

From under the gun, Doug Polk moved all in for his last 20,000 and Kahle Burns called in the small blind.

Polk: {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Burns: {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

"It's been a pleasure guys!" announced Polk before the dealer fanned a {J-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop.

"Deuce?" asked Polk.

The dealer burned and turned the {2-Spades} on the turn to see Polk turn a wheel, and when the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river, he would double to 44,000 in chips.

On the featured table, David Peters got his last 50,000 or so in preflop with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} but trailed the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} of Seth Davies. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}, good for a Peters double.

Bonomo Picks Off Holz

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Catching the action on the river with the board reading {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{5-Spades} and 21,000 in the middle, Fedor Holz checked to Justin Bonomo who bet 30,000.

Holz responded with a check-raise to 120,000. Bonomo went deep into the tank, eventually having to use a time extension chip, before he made the call.

Holz tabled his {J-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a busted straight-draw and just jack-high while Bonomo revealed his {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for aces-up to scoop the pot.

Blieden Cripples Greenberg, Burns Finishes Him Off

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Larry Greenberg
Larry Greenberg

Dennis Blieden was Larry Greenberg's true nemesis in the Super High Roller Bowl. After earning several doubles at the expense of Greenberg, Blieden added yet another one. This time it was a lethal one as the following collision left Greenberg with a dust.

They were on the turn with the board reading {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} when Blieden fired 44,000. Greenberg shoved all-in for 253,500 total, barely covering Blieden. A call was made and the cards were turned up.

Greenberg: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Blieden: {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Blieden had turned superior two pair and Greenberg was drawing only for the remaining two fives in the deck. He wouldn't get any as the {9-Hearts} river sealed a massive double for his rival.

Greenberg's remaining shrapnel of 3,500 was even thinned as he folded the next hand, paying the small. He eventually open-shoved for 2,500 from the cutoff, finding customers in both blinds; Blieden and Kahle Burns.

They checked to the {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} river where Burns got rid of Blieden with a 2,000-bet, showing {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a flush. Greenberg's last hand in the tournament was {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

"We've got a hockey game tomorrow unless I fly home," Greenberg said just before busting.

Phil Hellmuth

The action folded to Phil Hellmuth in the small blind, and he raised all in for 14,000. Rainer Kempe called in the big blind, and Hellmuth was at risk.

Hellmuth: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Kempe: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The dealer spread a {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} board and Hellmuth was eliminated from the tournament.

Hellmuth Doubles

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

"C'mon, let me get him!" pleads Steffen Sontheimer before Keith Tilston raised to 5,000.

Sontheimer folded the small blind, and Hellmuth shoved his last 5,500 in from the big blind, and Tilston called.

Hellmuth: {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Tilston: {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The flop landed {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to give Hellmuth trips, and when the turn came the {4-Diamonds}, Bill Perkins added, "Oh dear!"

The river would land safe for Hellmuth as it came the {6-Clubs}, and he would double to 14,000 in chips.

Lehne Makes Top Pair Against Polk

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Kathy Lehne opened to 6,000 and Bryn Kenney called in the small blind before Doug Polk three-bet the big blind to 20,000.

Lehne made it 50,000 to go, and Kenney folded. Polk called, and then checked the {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{K-Spades} flop.

Lehne bet 50,000, and Polk made the call as both players checked the {6-Hearts} on the turn.

The river landed the {7-Spades} and Polk led out for 77,000 and Lehne called.

"Ace-high!" announced Polk.

Lehne quickly tabled her {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, and took the pot.

John Andress shoved all in from the small blind for about 73,000 effective on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Talal Shakerchi called off from the big.

Talal Shakerchi: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
John Andress: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Andress had a big draw but bricked out as it came {3-Hearts} then {5-Hearts}.
