Diamond Saves Davies' Tournament Life

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

"Tournaments are all about survival," Seth Davies said on the PokerGO's INSIDERS original show. He experienced just that as he ended up all-in on the {6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop on the feature table, with the previous action unknown. Davies was up against Daniel Negreanu, running for a total pot of 374,500.

Seth Davies: {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Daniel Negreanu: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Davies was trailing but he had a plenty of outs to hope for. The {2-Spades} turn was the brickest of the bricks but Davies' flush draw got filled up on the {J-Diamonds} river, saving and doubling him to allow the first-timer to keep pursuing his Super High Roller Bowl campaign.

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Vogelsang called. The turn brought an {8-Hearts} and Soverel bet 82,000. Vogelsang shoved for about 270,000 and Soverel snap-folded.

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Justin Bonomo raised the hijack to 17,000 and Steffen Sontheimer called in the small blind.

The flop landed {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Sontheimer checked to Bonomo who bet 40,000. Sontheimer called, and then both players checked down the {9-Clubs} and {7-Diamonds} on the turn and river.

Davies Gets Some Back with Big Slick

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Davies lost a bunch of his chips since doubling through Daniel Negreanu but he got most of it back when he triple-barreled in a heads-up blind-versus-blind pot against Kahle Burns.

The board read {2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and Burns check-called 13,000 on the flop and another 54,000 on the turn.

Davies then pushed forward all but 1,000 of his remaining stack. Burns had only {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and couldn't find the call button. He sent his card to the muck, and correctly so as Davies held {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Kaverman Runs into Wall of Vogelsang

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang called after his right-hand opponent Byron Kaverman opened from the button.

Vogelsang then check-called a cbet on the {J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop before the {8-Clubs} hit the turn.

Vogelsang let Kaverman fire the second barrel, worth 55,000. He called again.

The river came {4-Diamonds} and Vogelsang checked one more time. Kaverman used a time extension and moved forward the final barrel, making it 175,000.

There was no way he'd find a success as Vogelsang had no intention of folding his {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The defending champion called and Kaverman flashed his {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a busted bluff.

Kaverman Rivers Lehne

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

From under the gun, Byron Kaverman opened with a raise to 16,000 and Kathy Lehne called in the small blind, as did Sam Soverel in the big blind.

The flop landed {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Lehne led out for 20,000. Soverel folded, but Kaverman raised to 55,000.

Lehne called, and then check-called a bet of 80,000 when the turn landed the {2-Hearts}.

The river of the {8-Spades} completed the board, and both players checked.

Kaverman tabled his {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a rivered pair, and Lehne flashed her {A-Hearts}{7-Spades} and mucked.
