Davies Flops Well in Three-Bet Pot

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Seth Davies managed to climb close to an average stack, winning quite a few pots since the start of the level. He scooped another one when he raised to 17,000 in the cutoff, evoking a three-bet from small blind Brandon Adams who made it 68,000. Davies called with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

They saw the {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} hit the felt and Adams went for a big 111,000-cbet. Davies called with the top pair, top kicker.

Adams skipped barreling and rather checked the {2-Diamonds} turn, leaving the action to Davies who cut out a small bet of 95,000. Adams folded his {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} as he couldn't connect.

Koon Shoves River on Sontheimer

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

From under the gun, Steffen Sontheimer raised to 16,000 and Sergio Aido called in the small blind.

From the big blind, Jason Koon three-bet to 70,000 and Sontheimer called, as Aido folded.

The flop landed {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Koon continued with a bet of 45,000. Sontheimer called, and when the turn landed the {8-Hearts}, Koon fired big; this time for 125,000.

Sontheimer showed little hesitation and opted to make the call as the river landed the {2-Diamonds}.

Koon used one of his time extension chips before he announced he was all in for 334,000. Sontheimer asked for a count, then went into the tank and eventually used his own time extension chip before he folded.

Koon Rivers Straight

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 18,000 from under the gun and found calls from Sergio Aido next to act, Jason Koon in the cutoff, and Mikita Badziakouski in the big blind.

The flop landed {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and action checked round to see the {7-Clubs} land on the turn and Bonomo bet out 30,000. Aido called, as did Koon, before Badziakouski folded.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Bonomo and Aido checked to Koon who bet 87,000. Bonomo called, and Aido folded.

Koon tabled his {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nut straight, and Bonomo mucked.

Hyman Trending Up

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Sam Soverel opened from the first position and small blind Matt Hyman accepted the 17,000-bet.

They went heads-up to the {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop where Hyman checked to Soverel who continued, betting 15,000. Hyman responded with a check-raise to 47,000 and Soverel matched the price.

Hyman slowed down on the {8-Clubs} turn and Soverel agreed to look at the river card.

It fell {A-Spades} and Hyman decided to lead out 115,000. Soverel smiled, shook his head and folded.

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The table at the far end of the room has been progressing very slowly with nothing but small pots being played. So far, Kathy Lehne and Sam Soverel appear to be getting the worst of it.
