Davies Gets Some Back with Big Slick

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Davies lost a bunch of his chips since doubling through Daniel Negreanu but he got most of it back when he triple-barreled in a heads-up blind-versus-blind pot against Kahle Burns.

The board read {2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and Burns check-called 13,000 on the flop and another 54,000 on the turn.

Davies then pushed forward all but 1,000 of his remaining stack. Burns had only {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and couldn't find the call button. He sent his card to the muck, and correctly so as Davies held {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Justin Bonomo raised the hijack to 17,000 and Steffen Sontheimer called in the small blind.

Sontheimer tabled his {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Bonomo mucked.

Diamond Saves Davies' Tournament Life

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

"Tournaments are all about survival," Seth Davies said on the PokerGO's INSIDERS original show. He experienced just that as he ended up all-in on the {6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop on the feature table, with the previous action unknown. Davies was up against Daniel Negreanu, running for a total pot of 374,500.

Seth Davies: {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Daniel Negreanu: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Davies was trailing but he had a plenty of outs to hope for. The {2-Spades} turn was the brickest of the bricks but Davies' flush draw got filled up on the {J-Diamonds} river, saving and doubling him to allow the first-timer to keep pursuing his Super High Roller Bowl campaign.

Chidwick Bluffs with Best Hand

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

In a battle of blinds, Seth Davies and Stephen Chidwick went to the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. Davies checked-called 20,000 and the {8-Diamonds} paired the board.

Davies tapped again and Chidwick used his big stack to apply pressure, firing another 65,000. That was about 25% of Davies' remaining stack but he called once again.

The {2-Spades} river saw Davies check one more time and Chidwick thought for a moment before deciding to give up, checking back his {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. But when Davies rolled over his {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Chidwick learned that he was bluffing with a hand that remained best all the way through. Somehow he was able to claim the pot showing king-high while Davies dropped down to 173,000.

Vogelsang Gives Up

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang opened and got three callers, and he bet 35,000 on the {q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Spades} flop. Matt Hyman called in the cutoff and the other two players folded. Vogelsang bet 120,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn. Hyman asked how much Vogelsang had left, used a time extension and called. On the {8-Diamonds} river, both players checked.

Hyman opened {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} even though he was second to show, and Vogelsang offered a simple, "You win."

Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 17,000 from the hijack and Steffen Sontheimer called in the big blind.

The flop landed {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and both players checked to reveal the {10-Hearts} on the turn.

Sontheimer checked, Badziakouski bet 32,000, and Sontheimer check-raised to 130,000.

Badziakouski made the call, and when the river landed the {7-Diamonds} and Sontheimer checked, Badziakouski bet 100,000.

Sontheimer called, and Badziakouski tabled his {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for trips.

"Wow!" stated Sontheimer before he mucked.

"That was a freaking two outer Mikita!" he added after the hand.
